1. Getting Started — Sign In to Brand Central
1. Go to https://bc.materialbank.com/.
2. Enter your registered email address and click Sign In.
3. Check your inbox for a verification code and enter it on the Check your email screen to access Brand Central. If the email does not arrive, check your spam folder.
2. Replenishing Inventory — Choose Your Upload Method
Before you ship replenishment sample inventory to Material Bank, submit an Advance Shipping Notice (ASN) in Brand Central. The ASN tells our warehouse which SKUs, quantities, and shipment reference to expect, so your incoming samples can be received accurately.
Two ways to submit an ASN
Choose the method that works best for you. Both methods submit the same ASN.
OPTION A Bulk Packing List Upload | OPTION B Manual Packing List Upload |
Best for: Replenishing many SKUs at once. | Best for: Replenishing a smaller number of SKUs. |
How it works: Download the CSV template, enter your SKUs and quantities, and upload the completed file. | How it works: Select products directly in Brand Central and type in the quantities. No file upload required. |
CSV file required: Yes | CSV file required: No |
Instructions: See Section 3 | Instructions: See Section 4 |
Start either method from My Products
1. In the left navigation, click Products, then My Products.
2. Click Upload Packing List, then select Bulk packing list upload (Section 3) or Manual packing list upload (Section 4).
Note A shipment reference number, such as a tracking number or Bill of Lading (BOL), is required to submit a packing list. If a SKU you want to replenish is not found in Brand Central, reach out to Brand Services for assistance (see Section 7). |
About inventory quantities Inventory quantities displayed in My Products are not updated in real time. Inventory information is refreshed periodically and may differ slightly from quantities displayed on the Material Bank website. Newly received inventory may not appear until the next day’s inventory update. |
3. Option A — Bulk Packing List Upload
Use this method to submit many SKUs at once with a CSV file.
1. From My Products, click Upload Packing List and select Bulk packing list upload.
2. Click Download template to download the CSV template.
3. Complete the template with the SKUs and quantities you are shipping, and save it as a CSV file.
4. Return to Brand Central and click Continue.
5. Click Browse file (or drag and drop your file) to upload the completed template. Only CSV files up to 1 MB are supported.
6. Review the SKUs and quantities on the Review Packing List screen, then click Confirm.
About SKUs marked “Needs Attention” SKUs marked Needs Attention may be new products that have not yet been set up or products that have been retired. These SKUs do not prevent you from submitting your packing list. However, they will not be included in the information sent to our warehouse for receiving. Please contact Brand Services for assistance with these SKUs (see Section 7). |
7. Enter the shipment Reference Number (tracking number, PO, or BOL). Shipment status notifications are turned on by default; clear Notify me with shipment updates if you do not want them.
8. Click Confirm Packing List to submit your ASN.
Before you confirm Once submitted, a packing list cannot be edited. Please verify your SKUs, quantities, and shipment reference before confirming. |
Your ASN is submitted You can follow the shipment in Packing List History (see Section 5). |
4. Option B — Manual Packing List Upload
Use this method to select products directly in Brand Central and type in quantities. No CSV file is required.

3. Review the selected SKUs on the Review Packing List screen. To include more SKUs, click Add Product.
4. Select the checkbox for each additional SKU, then click Add.
5. Enter the quantity being shipped for each SKU. Review the packing list, then click Confirm. If any SKU is marked Needs Attention, see the explanation in Section 3.
6. Enter the shipment Reference Number (tracking number, PO, or BOL) and choose whether to receive shipment status notifications.
5. Tracking Shipments — Packing List History
After you submit an ASN, you can monitor it from Packing List History.
1. In the left navigation, click Products, then Packing List History.
2. Review your submitted packing lists. Each entry shows the create date, reference number, status, shipment score, and any exceptions. Use the tabs and date range at the top to filter the list, or use search to find a packing list by its shipment reference number.
3. Click a reference number to open the shipment details, including product quantity, units, shipment score, and exceptions.
Shipment status
Shipment status reflects the progress of receiving your shipment. A shipment may show Complete even if individual SKU exceptions remain.
Status | What it means |
In Transit | Your packing list has been submitted, but the warehouse has not yet checked in the shipment. |
Arrived | The warehouse has checked in the shipment and its compliance assessment is available. Receiving is still in progress. |
Complete | The warehouse has finished receiving and closed the shipment record. |
Awaiting Packing List | A shipment arrived at the warehouse without a packing list submitted in Brand Central. |
Unknown | Packing lists created before October 9, 2026 may display this status because they predate the new tracking process. No action is required solely because of this status. |
Shipment Notifications • Only the person who submits a packing list receives its shipment notifications. • Notifications may include confirmation of packing list submission, shipment arrival, shipment assessment availability, and shipment completion. • You can change notification preferences for individual packing lists from Packing List History. • Individual SKU exceptions do not generate a separate email for each exception. |
6. Reviewing Shipment Assessments and Exceptions
Your Shipment Assessment evaluates the overall condition and compliance of your shipment when it arrives at our warehouse. SKU-level exceptions are recorded separately during the receiving process and identify discrepancies involving individual products.
Because the assessment is completed when the shipment is checked in, it may be available before receiving is complete and before all SKU-level exceptions are displayed.
1. In Packing List History, click the shipment’s reference number to open its details.
2. Under Shipment score, click View Assessment.
3. Review the Shipment Assessment. This scorecard provides information about the compliance and condition of the shipment, such as whether it arrived without damage and whether cartons were properly labeled. Click X to close it.
4. Click the Exceptions tab to view any discrepancies associated with the shipment. The Exception type column describes each one.
On the Exceptions tab, the Exception type column identifies each discrepancy:
What counts as an exception?
Exception type | What it means |
Qty received greater than qty expected | More units were received than were listed on the packing list. |
Qty received less than qty expected | Fewer units were received than were listed on the packing list. |
Damaged products | Some or all of the received samples were damaged. |
New product, needs setup | The product is not yet set up in Material Bank’s system. |
Retired product, needs setup | The product is currently retired and requires follow-up. |
Missing from shipment | A SKU was included on the packing list but was not found in the shipment. |
Missing from packing list | A SKU was received but was not included on the submitted packing list. |
Good to know Exceptions remain visible in the shipment record even if the underlying issue is subsequently resolved. Contact Brand Services if you need assistance reviewing or resolving an exception. |
7. Contacting Brand Services
